Spring Tours

The spring and early summer is a great time to visit Extremadura, the migrants are in and the breeding season is underway – where else in Europe do you get the chance to see 5 species of Eagle as well as both Bustards and both Sandgrouse plus a whole host of other great birds as well? Our Spring Tours are designed for up to 4 people (4 individuals through to a group of 4) but if you want to bring a bigger group just let us know and we will tailor make a tour for you.

Prices include picking up and dropping off at Madrid airport, your bed and breakfast accommodation, and of course a fully guided birding holiday! Our itinerary is designed to give you the best chance of seeing the many great species that Extremadura has and includes whole days spent in the amazing Monfragüe National Park and on the specially protected Plains, you really will experience the best of European birding on these tours. The Spring Tours start a week after Easter and run from every Tuesday to Sunday throughout April and May. The tours are very popular and book up fast, often with repeat customers. To avoid disappointment we are happy to 'pencil you in' up to two years in advance. Please contact us about availability as soon as possible. This globally threatened little falcon has a stronghold here in Extremadura. There are several breeding pairs in Alcántara itself ensuring that you will get some amazingly close views of this lovely little bird on your spring tour.
